Scary Finish! Watch Magomed Ankalaev Knocks Out Dalcha Lungiambula With a Thundering Front Kick at UFC Moscow

There are not many finishes in UFC with a front kick. When you think of a KO with a devastating front kick, Anderson Silva’s knock out against Vitor Belfort comes to the mind. Lyoto Machida also knocked out Randy Couture with a front kick. Well, Magomed Ankalaev brought back old memories with his devastating front kick knock out against Dalcha Lungiambula.

Lungiambula took on Dalcha Lungiambula in the prelims of UFC Moscow in a light heavyweight bout. The fight went on for three rounds until Ankalaev landed that brutal kick that echoed in the arena packed with Russian fans.

Magomed Ankalaev dominated Lungiambula for the entire fight. Compared to 33 total strikes of Lungiambula, Ankalaev landed 123 total strikes with 67 significant strikes. As expected it was a striking battle even if both the fighters attempted a few takedowns.

The first round was a close one. both the fighters had their moments in the first round. While Ankalaev looked the more technical fighter, landing clean strikes and doing well in the clinches, Lungiambula landed some heavy punches.

In the second round, Lungiambula went for a takedown and got Ankalaev down, however, Magomed Ankalaev reversed position and landed some hard elbows to Lungiambula’s head. Although Lungiambula tried to hold on to Ankalaev to reduce the damage, he could not do much on his back.

Well, the stage was set for a flashy finish as Ankalaev came with an intent to finish Lungiambula in the third round. The Russian fighter hit Lungiambula with a thundering front kick and followed that with a right overhand. The referee stopped the fight at 29 seconds of round 3. With this win, Magomed Ankalaev gets his third victory in UFC after the loss in his UFC debut fight against Paul Craig. This was the first KO of the night in UFC Moscow.
