

As if things could not get any worse for Sebastian Vettel this season, he was knocked out early in the first segment of qualifying. Vettel came on the radio saying, “There’s an issue, I lost power. Have a look, something seemed to blow up, yeah blowing out somewhere.”

Scuderia Ferrari later issued a confirmation on Twitter on the issue, calling it a turbo problem.

It was absolute heartbreak for the 4-time World Champion, especially considering his forgettable season so far. Vettel has been going through a rough patch ever since the 2018 German Grand Prix. The German driver was out on track, but had to trundle back in without setting a lap time and stayed in the pits for good.
Meanwhile, there was no such trouble for teammate, Charles LeClerc, who was left flying the flag for Ferrari.
