New Cyberpunk 2077 commercial shows Keanu reminding the fans to seize the day

The trailer was shown at an NBA game between Miami Heat and LA Lakers. Keanu Reeves, who plays a major role in the game, appears in the ad as himself and not as his in-game character, Johnny Silverhand. The trailer is just like a reminder of what fans can expect in Night City with a little ‘breathtaking’ Keanu in the midst. Interestingly, Billie Eilish’s popular song ‘Bad Guy’ plays in the background which makes the commercial even more spectacular. Take a look at it below:

The COVID-19 pandemic has not been kind to any industry globally. Naturally, this affected game developers as well. But amidst all this hype, a recent report by Bloomberg suggests that CDPR has announced a company-wide crunch. This means that the developers will works 6-days a week to meet the November 19 deadline. This sparked a controversy on the internet where people had divided opinions over it. A lot of people argued that crunch is normal in game development. Others said that being overworked to release a game on time is unacceptable. The Head of Studio at CDPR Adam Badowski also responded by saying that the employees are being fairly compensated for this. Although, this didn’t change the fact that the developers have no option but to accept the crunch.

Cyberpunk 2077 may be the biggest game of all time, but it cannot accomplish the same at the cost of the mental and physical well-being of its developers. There are a lot more details to be uncovered regarding this but hopefully, CDPR will do something to ensure its employees are not being drained out. The ‘Best RPG Game of The Year’ comes out on November 19.
