Dubious questions have been raised up whether Serena Williams is moving closer towards her next Slam or moving further away from it, since her endeavours at the major finals twice and her performance during the Melbourne major could suffice for the same. Over the past two years, Serena’s 24th major crown has been longing to join the plethora of titles that she owns. However, the 37-year-old is working on to remould herself to get back in optimal shape to capture a Grand Slam.

The tennis royalty, Chris Evert speak about Serena’s sharing the space with Margaret Court at Tennis Channel, to no one’s surprise Evert was optimistic about the Compton girl getting there. “Never count Serena out, that’s what I have learnt over the years”, she said. “It’s like if anybody could whatever say, ‘you know I  don’t think she can win another one’, I think they need to get their head examined. Because I just think that basically it’s all up to Serena, it’s gonna be, how hard she wants to train. I think that as…good a shape she looked, she was in Australia, I think she can still get into better shape. And I think she played 60-70 per cent of her potential.”

Further, Evert described the changes with her is going through and by putting her mind to the game Serena Williams can clinch her next major. “I think she still trying the bouncing act between having a child and spending time with her child and she has been pulled in lot different directions,” Evert said.  “ With not only been a mother, a wife, a businesswoman, it’s a sort of a new time in her life and she is making a lot of adjustments. So, I guess, at the end of the day, I think, potentially one hundred per cent she could win her 24th.”
