Tennis fans are well aware of the great superstars of this generation, Novak Djokovic, Serena Williams, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer. For almost two decades, these four athletes have dominated the tennis courts and don’t look like they are stopping anytime soon either.

Yesterday, Rafael Nadal defeated Russian tennis star Daniil Medvedev to win his second Australian Open title. In doing so, he became the first male player to win 21 Grand Slam titles in the Open era. After his victory, an interesting stat emerged where Rafa, Djokovic, Serena, and Roger are unsurprisingly dominant.

Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic lead the charts in their respective categories 

It seems like any prominent statistic always has the names of Serena, Roger, Rafa, and Novak in the list. They all feature in the list of of athletes who have won most Grand Slam titles after crossing 30 years of age. 

Williams tops the charts as she has won 10 Majors after crossing the 30-year-old landmark. She is followed by the Serbian ace Djokovic, who has won 8 Grand Slam titles. After yesterday’s win, Rafa is on 7 and is followed by Roger on 4 titles, who seems to be lagging behind his contemporaries.

From the looks of it, it seems certain that Novak and Rafa will add to their tallies. Federer and Williams have not won in some time, but after following their respective careers, one cannot possibly rule these legends out. 

At the moment, Federer and Williams are still in recovery mode. However, they will be joining the Tour later on this season. It will certainly be a treat for fans to see them in action.

Besides these four legends who are actively competing, some of tennis’ all-time greats feature in the list as well, including Rod Laver, Margaret Court, and Martina Navratilova.

Djokovic is soon expected to compete in Dubai. After the whole visa fiasco, it will be the first time fans will see the World No. 1 compete on the Tour. We hope to see all these names in a tournament draw again soon.
