Serena Williams‘ fans around the world were dealt a heavy blow, earlier this week when she announced her withdrawal from the Miami Open. However this was not the end of the bad news, as her coach Patrick Mouratoglou, revealed that Serena Williams will be skipping the tour for a longer period of time than earlier estimated.

Patrick Mouratoglou indicated that Serena Williams was planning on not playing until the Rome Open, which will be held in the month of May. This will of-course mean that Serena Williams will go without a tournament for two months. There have been many fans who have been suggesting that she is pregnant again, which could not be entirely ruled out.

It has been a bad outing for Serena Williams of late, as she had to retire mid-match against the Spaniard Garbine Muguruza, earlier this  month at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, where she felt suffocated and dizzy mid-match.

Despite winning her first match in Miami, Serena Williams opted not to play the rest of the tournament.

“I am disappointed to withdraw,” Serena Williams said in her statement.

“It was an amazing experience to play at Hard Rock Stadium this year, and I would like to thank the Miami Open for putting on an amazing event. I hope to be back next year to play at this one-of-a-kind tournament in front of the incredible fans here in Miami.”

According to a few websites there are heavy rumors being spread on, if Serena is pregnant again. If that is the case she is surely going to be out for just more than a couple of months. The reason she cited during Indian Wells was a knee injury which was exactly the same excuse that Serena had given when she was pregnant with Olympia.
