Stoke City have agreed a club record fee of 12 million euros for Swiss International Xhedran Shaqiri from Inter Milan.
The 23-year-old joined Inter from Bayern Munich in January 2015.
Shaqiri couldn’t live up to the expectations at Inter, where he moved due to lack of games at the German club.
Shaqiri scored only three goals in 20 games for Inter Milan.
Shaqiri still has personal terms to agree and the transfer is subject to a medical but it’s an exciting time for the Potters right now as they’ve paid a club record fee for the highly-rated midfielder.
Stoke paid 10 million euros for English striker Peter Crouch to bring him to the club from Tottenham Hotspur in 2011, which is their current club record transfer.
Shaqiri would be the Potters’ third summer signing after they bagged striker Joselu from Hannover and goalkeeper Jakob Haugaard from FC Midtjylland.
