Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka is one of the most popular athletes on either Tour. The 24-year-old has fans all across the globe and is also one of tennis’ most marketable athletes.   

The former World No. 1 player has often been seen interacting with the top celebrities in the world. Recently, Osaka came across pop star Nicki Minaj’s picture on social media. She was stunned, seeing how pretty the rapper is.

In the picture, Minaj can be seen in an elegant black dress. She has grown her hair long and colored them blonde. After coming across her picture, Osaka couldn’t hide her excitement. The four-time Grand Slam winner put up a story that read, “She’s so pretty I can’t.”

Coming to tennis, Osaka was last seen at the Australian Open this year. She was unable to defend her title down in Melbourne and ended up crashing out in the third round to Amanda Anisimova. 

Troubles off the court during the 2021 season

Unfortunately, Naomi had a tough time last year on the Tour. During the French Open, she revealed that she was struggling with her mental health, and as a result, would be avoiding press conferences. This stirred up some unnecessary controversies, and she withdrew herself from Roland Garros just before the second-round match. 

Due to this issue, her performances on the court took a toll, and the results registered by her were not according to her standards. She made early exits from the Tokyo Olympics and the US Open. 

However, we are still early days into the new season. It will be interesting to see how the Japanese superstar performs during the rest of the season. We wish her the best of luck.
