The NASCAR world recently witnessed the 65th running Daytona 500 race in NASCAR’s 75th anniversary year. While the race can be a defining moment in a race driver’s career, it comes with a gush of emotions on the track. The young driver, Ryan Blaney, went through some extreme emotions while on track in the race.

It was a day power packed with all the action at the race at the Daytona 500. If all the drivers were not conscious and alert, there could have been a major crash at the end of phase one of the race. Some friction on the track between Team Penske driver Ryan Blaney, and Kaulig Racing driver A. J. Allmendinger led to fans and drivers calling the latter out.

During the race, A.J. Allmendinger decided to stay in the middle of the track while other race drivers were passing by him. Though he was at a slow speed, it could have led to a disaster. Looking at this Blaney called Allmendinger “the stupidest race car driver ever” while talking to his spotter on the radio. This move has got Allmendinger on the most hated list of drivers currently. He thought his action might prove fruitful in getting him back on the lead lap. But it reminded everyone of an incident last year pulled by Ross Chastain.

“When Your Kids Misbehave” – Denny Hamlin Talks About Ross Chastain’s “Punishment” to Set Him Straight

Allmendinger tried a Chastain move?

Last year at the end of Stage one at Talladega, Ross Chastain pulled up a stunt to remain on the lead lap. As cars crashed behind him, Chastain stayed slow and speedily moved past Erik Jones and Kyle Larson to win his second career win. This was not the only time Chastain pulled a trick on the tracks. The Trackhouse Racing driver had another moment last year with Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin. At the Martinsville Raceway, he really caught everyone’s attention, as it was his last chance to reach the Championship 4 Race. On his last lap, he pulled out an incredible Hail Melon move by performing a wall ride all the way around the corner.

Well, it certainly looks like Allmendinger was onto something like Chastain that would have got him ahead in his game but whatever it was he couldn’t pull it off. He ended up gathering more hate from around than making a few friends.
