Shroud hates Shotguns in Valorant
Overpowered shotguns have become a norm in FPS games such as Valorant and CS:GO. Michael has always shown his displeasure with those guns, especially if they can one-shot a player easily. During an unrated game on Valorant, he ranted about how overwhelming a Judge can be in the game.
“He Judge’d me, great gun. How is that f****** fair dude? One shot, I die. ONE, one bullet, one left click of his f****** mouse, he kills me, are you kidding me?”

He also talked about how players use shotguns all the time to rank up in the competitive modes. He believes that most of the top players in Radiant use this meta and they wouldn’t be able to do the same amount of damage with other weapons. In an FPS game, no gun should be overpowered enough to create an unfair advantage for players which seems to be his issue with shotguns.
Michael confused about pro players not using shotguns
On a sarcastic comment from a viewer that Judge was his favorite gun, Shroud gave some pointers on what the developers should do with them.

“No, the Judge is actually stupid though, the Judge definitely needs to change. The Bucky kinda does, but not really. It’s more so the Judge.”
He also questioned this meta not being used by pro players on Valorant events. Although pro players have used the Judge or the Bucky sometimes, the shotgun class has never been used a lot for it to make a difference. Michael gave his opinions about why these guns have not become popular in competitive.
“I mean, you can’t really retake with it. That’s probably the problem, but I don’t know, you will never lose a hold. If they are pushing you, you can’t lose with a Judge.”

For defensive situations, shotguns can be a force to be reckoned with. But it remains to be seen if pro players decide to jump the gun and use this meta.
