Simona Halep Opens Up on Breast Surgery Ahead of Australian Open 2019

The World Number one tennis player, Simona Halep underwent a breast reduction surgery in the year 2009. Her game was getting affected due to her heavy breasts also she had the urge to excel in the field of tennis. Right after she got them operated Halep claimed it to be the biggest and the only sacrifice she did for tennis. Her decision to undergo a surgery along with her everyday tennis practice, everything paid off in the year 2018, when she lifted the Roland Garros trophy in Paris after reaching the final two times.

Halep revealed about the emotions of her loved ones during that period, but however, she was confident that everything will be fine and was clear with the idea of tennis being on top of her priority list. All her actions in her life to date are dedicated to tennis and she considers tennis to be her everything. “My family was scared”, Halep confessed. “I was not scared because I knew I have to do it for tennis. My dream was just to be the best. So I was laughing when I went to the doctor. Afterwards, I was so much lighter and all my back problems were gone. So it was the best decision. I was dedicated 100% and did everything for tennis”.

Halep is grateful for what she has today and also works hard every day for a better tomorrow in her tennis career. Also, the Romanian star realises the expenses involved in this big-budget sport. She sees this as an opportunity to pay back tennis and aids other talented kids to support their game. “I received a lot from tennis so it’s good to help others because it’s very difficult. Many talented kids get lost because they don’t have the money. Tennis is an expensive sport in Romania”, Halep uttered.

Recently Halep parted ways with her coach Darren Cahill, who will be spending time with his family in Australia. She decided to be alone for four months without a coach and wants to play a relaxed game under her own supervision. Tentatively, the 2018 Melbourne finalist, Halep will be seeded second for the Australian Open
