Now, as the New Year has dawned, the Simone Biles Invitational prepares for initiation. Notably, the Invitational has revealed several details of the gymnast, including the fact that she owns a gym herself.
Simone Biles has her own gym
The Simone Biles International Invitational is a championship that is held every year. Just recently, the World Champions Centre has announced the dates for the 2022 Invitational.
The 5th Annual Biles Invitational will be held from January 27th to January 30th. The George R. Brown Convention Centre will host the event. Notably, the Invitational is being organized by the World Champions Centre (WCC).

However, for all those who didn’t know, the WCC was actually built for Simone Biles. The WCC stands tall in Texas, right near Biles’ home. It is home to Simone Biles and several other iconic gymnasts like Jordan Chiles and Sydney Barros.
Simone Biles used to train at Bannon’s Gymnastix, the north Houston gym. But as the years went by, she outgrew the gym. She needed a bigger and better space to train. And that’s when her parents decided to build her one.
Biles trained for her 2016 Olympics at the WCC, and when she landed 4 Gold Medals, the WCC rose in popularity. Young gymnasts started seeing it as a place to where their dreams became reality.
Is World Champions Centre a safe haven for gymnasts?
The fact that WCC had not one but multiple gymnasts at the Olympics helped their case. US Olympic Team athletes Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles, both proudly call the WCC their home.
“It’s rare for a gym to have one elite athlete. It’s even more rare for a gym to have multiple elite athletes,” said Jessica O’Beirne, host of the popular GymCastic podcast.

Moreover, the WCC is a state-of-the-art gym with the best equipment. The gym also allows parents to keep a watch on their kids as they practice; a way of establishing trust.
In the field, the gym has been a safe heaven for athletes because of its beautiful culture. Now with the Invitational edging closer, aspiring gymnast from all across the country are expected to flood the gates of the WCC in hopes of learning and growing with Biles herself.
