Israel Adesanya does not back down in the face of a challenge. In only two years, he made his way to the top of the UFC Middleweight division by beating the best and meanest fighters.

His thirst for a challenge is also the reason he went after the “Soldier of God”, Yoel Romero, for his first title defense. In a world where no one wants to mess with Romero, Adesanya felt that having his head on his mantelpiece is an obligation he must fulfill.

And this thirst is far from quenched. Thus, when Tyron Woodley called Adesanya out on his Instagram Live, he was more than happy to respond.

Apparently, Adesanya does not find “The Chosen One” all that impressive. He believes that Tyron needs to think about the call-out he made, since he couldn’t handle his fellow Nigerian, Kamaru Usman “at his 30%”.

“I want to go up there and see what Izzy is about”- Tyron Woodley on Israel Adesanya

T-Wood recently went live on Instagram to share his future plans with his fans. While he does not aim at fighting forever, there are some goals he wants to strike off the list. He said,  “I’ve got to clean up the division. Three or four fights in the welterweight division, and when I feel like I can comfortably say that I’ve wiped everybody out, then I want to go up there and see what Izzy is about.”

Regarding his wish to fight Adesanya, Woodley said, “I don’t think he is as dope as everybody is saying. I think he’s great, but everyone is making him out like he’s some phenomenon.”

Woodley believes his style of fighting is similar to that of Yoel Romero. Explosive and powerful. He believes that Adesanya does not fare well against the likes of Romero and Kelvin Gastelum, and thus, thinks he has a fair chance at downing “The Last Stylebender“.
