Former UFC light heavyweight champion and current heavyweight contender, Jon Jones, tweeted out his displeasure with MMA fans after Jan Blachowicz’s win over his long-time rival, Israel Adesanya.
‘Bones’ Jones has engaged in multiple fights with ‘Izzy’ on Twitter and has been at odds with him ever since ‘The Last Stylebender’ proposed a move up to light heavyweight in the future. “If you ever wrote me talking sh*t about Izzy beating me, slap yourself,” Jones said.

‘The Last Stylebender‘ faced off against the current light heavyweight champion, Jan Blachowicz, in a bid to join an elite list of athletes who have held titles at multiple weight classes. However, the Polish giant got the win via a unanimous decision as the three judges scored the fight 49-45, 49-45, and 49-46 in his favor.
The judges faced some backlash because of the scores’ lopsidedness, but it was a convincing win for Pole. The result must have provided some sense of satisfaction to ‘Bones’ his lengthy back-and-forth with Adesanya.
Jon Jones and his move up to heavyweight
Jones’s career is set for a major turn after he announced that he was bulking up for a move up to heavyweight. He also put out several videos showing his workouts and increased muscle mass. ‘Bones’ is putting on the necessary weight and keeping his speed, which might be deciding factor in his future fights.
Jones uploaded a tweet with a video of him moving around in the cage. In the caption, he praised his own movement and opined that he would move even better once he was in shape.

The current heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic takes on another Nigerian powerhouse in Francis Ngannou at UFC 260 on 27th March. UFC President, Dana White, has already announced that Jones will fight the winner of that fight. Hence, any potential fight against Izzy will have to wait for now.
‘Izzy’ also said that he’ll move down to middleweight again and rule that division with a “Black iron fist.” Therefore, Jones has a clear path to either ‘The Predator’ or Miocic. Beating either of those two fighters isn’t going to be easy, but if someone can do it, it’s Jon Jones.
