Notable Minecraft YouTuber Technoblade succumbed to Cancer, a battle he had been fighting since his diagnosis last year. His father posted one last video on Technoblade’s channel to let fans know of the news.
Technoblade aka Alexander was a popular Minecrafter, known for his creative builds and humorous personality. He has over 10.6 million subscribers on YouTube. He was a Minecraft prodigy, and many of his fans spent their childhood watching his videos.

Technoblade was diagnosed with Sarcoma, a type of cancer that affects bones or soft tissues in one’s body. However, that didn’t stop him from fighting back. Alexander even initiated a fundraiser for the Sarcoma Foundation of America, where he donated $340,000 with the help of his community.
Alex was a Minecraft Legend
Alexander mostly spent his Minecraft time on the popular Hypixel server. He was extremely good at player versus player combat and once took down Dream in a match, winning $100,000 in prize money. In fact, he is widely regarded as one of the best players in Minecraft’s history, with a brilliant track record in tournaments and challenges.

Technoblade had also collaborated with many Minecraft creators, including YouTubers and Twitch streamers. According to Team Hypixel’s statement, he was a ‘kind, talented, passionate young man with extraordinary potential.’

The Hypixel Team even built a memorial and established a tribute to the Minecraft Legend. Players can access the space in the Hypixel server’s main lobby. In addition, the team also added a book of condolences where players can put up their names. “We’ll later have the book moderated, physically printed, and presented to Technoblade’s family,” the team shared.
Alexander’s father posted what’s supposed to be the last video on his channel. Alongside a short statement from Technoblade filled with the iconic dark humor he was known for, his father paid a heartfelt tribute to him.
He was, indeed, a gem!
Popular streamers bid farewell to Technoblade
Several notable streamers, internet personalities, and fans reacted to Technoblade’s demise, with all of them recalling how incredibly kind and helpful he was.
His friendly rival, Dream, shared his feelings too. Dream had also initiated a fundraiser for cancer research when Technoblade revealed he had sarcoma, last year.

It’s a massively difficult time for Technoblade’s family at the moment. “He was the most amazing kid anyone could ever ask for…” his father shared, and fans of Technoblade couldn’t agree more.
