Soccer stars are some of the richest athletes in the world. With big money deals showered across the top flight, fans often wonder what players do with these hefty paychecks. While some enjoy a lavish lifestyle, others have built portfolios that go beyond their careers. Liverpool vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold has taken his first step into being a venture capitalist, as he ditches his long rivalry with a former Manchester United star to invest in an F1 team.
The English defender has partnered up with Otro Group alongside some popular names across the sports sector. Trent is now an investor in the group’s F1 outfit and touched down on his recent investment during an interview.

Liverpool star partners with Juan Mata to invest in Alpine F1
Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold has taken a big step outside his career. The English defender has partnered up with Otro Capital to invest in Formula 1 side Alpine, formerly known as Renault. Apart from the defender, a string of big names also joined the project alongside the player.
Former rivals Juan Mata and Alexander-Arnold are now co-investors in the F1 outfit. The duo will hope to put their rivalry from the Premier League aside and focus on their new venture.
Otro Capital – who announced a €200 million investment in Alpine back in June – has now added some big sports names to its investment group:

Alpine has gathered a lot of attention as of late. The outfit received massive help from Wrexham owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, who began the investment process this summer. Following the move, Alpine has also received additional help in the form of a $211 million investment.
Further, the Liverpool star touched down on his partnership with Alpine F1 during an interview. The player, alongside his brother, is now a minority stakeholder in Alpine F1.
