He became the highest goal scorer and has the highest appearance for the Wales national soccer team. As soon as he announced his retirement, fans had the idea that they can see him playing golf in his free time. We have seen Gareth Bale talking about his love for golf time. He had also many times celebrated goals, pretending to be playing golf. Only few know that also had a golf course made just so he can play in his free time.
This story is not as similar. But, can be compared to Andre Villas-Boas, a soccer manager who is as passionate about motor racing as he is about soccer. After having a decade-long career he decided to try his hands at rally car racing. However, it is sure Gareth Bale has retired from soccer.

To play golf at home, Gareth Bale set up a perfect 3 holes mini golf course in his back garden. The love of this star soccer player for golf isn’t anything new. Back in 2015, he helped Wales win against England, Ireland, and Scotland in a celebrity cut hosted at Celtic Manor. The 3 holes he picked are: 12th at Augusta, Royal Troon’s Postage Stamp and the tricky par-three 17th at Sawgrass.

Talking about the golf course at his home Gareth said, “As I moved here I had a lovely bit of land here and I had something. I really wanted to do with it and decided that I would love to make a dream come true and build a mini golf course in my house… It’s a lot better than I ever thought it could be and I’m just so happy I’ve got it here now and so happy that I chose Southwest Greens.”

Gareth Bale announced his retirement in January 2023 after the conclusion of the World Cup 2022. After a mere 15 days, he announced via Instagram post that he will be playing in the upcoming PGA Tour. He will be a part of the Celebrity cast, including Jason Bateman and Bill Murray.
