Trinity Rodman speaks about her dream job and her father Dennis Rodman

Even after peaking to such a level so early on in her career, Rodman’s feet are still grounded. She has all the respect in the world for her lovely parents.

When asked about her dad, Rodman told ESPN, “He was an amazing athlete, and I got those genes from him, but I’m excited to be known as Trinity Rodman and not just as Rodman’s daughter”. She continued, “I’m excited to pave my own path and get better throughout this journey”.

The journey of Trinity Rodman

The young soccer star took quite a different route to reach where she currently is. Most women soccer players in the U.S. first start to fulfill their passion for soccer at school. After finishing school, they then get cement their spot in their college team.

That’s the time scouts from various sports clubs come to watch college games. After they graduate, most of the players then get drafted into the National Women’s Super League or they could choose to play in Europe if a better offer arrives.

However, the young American star didn’t quite go down that path. At the age of 18, Rodman hadn’t played even a single minute of soccer at her university. Rodman wanted to go professional, and she tried to enroll herself in the NWSL.

After being told that she cannot come to the NWSL directly, Rodman then applied to play for Washington State University. The young American star was due to play for Washington State, but the season was canceled because the COVID pandemic had just set in.

Following the win, in 2021, she was the second one to get picked by Washington Spirit to play in NWSL. Ever since that day, Dennis Rodman‘s daughter has never looked back. Rodman was a nominee for the Ballon d’Or in 2022. The young American star finished in 18 place for the prestigious award.
