The Argentine international has scored 10 goals in 7 matches in the Leagues Cup run for Miami, earning Inter Miami their first-ever Leagues Cup trophy.

Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami won their first-ever Leagues Cup. The fans were delighted to have won their first cup win. During the awarding ceremony, La Pulga called up DeAndre Yedlin to pick up the trophy insisting and urging him to be the one who picks it up. He even gave his armband to him. Yedlin was the former captain of Inter Miami before Lionel Messi’s arrival.

This gesture won the hearts of many fans, as social media flooded with appreciation for his humbleness. Messi’s humble nature shows the empathy and care he keeps towards his teammates. Inter Miami will now head on to play the open cup games. Their first match is away at TQL stadium against FC Cincinnati.
