While Marcelo Claure might not possess global recognition, his significance is pronounced within Bolivia and the United States. This affluent entrepreneur is the co-founder of Inter Miami. As of today, he may not be with the Herons. However, he is enjoying glory with his country’s domestic side, Bolívar SC, as the club’s president.

In fact, Claure has accomplished a remarkable achievement with Bolívar SC, as per La Republica. Under his leadership, the La Paz-based team has progressed to the quarterfinals of the Copa Libertadores. His side has already overcome Barcelona SC and Cerro Porteño during the group stage, as well as Athletico Paranaense in the round of 16. Now they are setting their sights on their next opponents, Internacional de Porto Alegre.

After becoming the club’s president in 2020, Claure has led Bolívar to nine Bolivian Primera División titles. Now they are in the quarterfinals of the Copa Libertadores. Indeed, it is a massive achievement for both Bolívar and Claure.

Alongside Claure, Japanese businessman and CEO of SoftBank, Masayoshi Son, and ex-England star David Beckham were the brainchild of Inter Miami. However, in 2021, Claure sold his shares to the Mas brothers. Notably, his net worth is around $2 billion, and adding to his achievements, Claure holds a 35% stake in Spain’s Girona FC club.

Furthermore, he is a member of FIFA’s Committee for Fair Play and Social Responsibility. Undoubtedly, Claure’s presence in the soccer realm extends far and wide. In fact, he has left an indelible mark on the history of the aforementioned soccer clubs.
