Cristiano Ronaldo and his Al Nassr teammates are performing well after a little drop in form early on. The Saudi club has laced itself with world-class talents in the summer transfer window and aims to be a dominating presence. However, it’s not just the Saudi Pro League teams that Al Nassr aims to conquer. As per Al Nassr’s left-back Alex Telles, the Knights of Najd have the potential to triumph over any of Europe’s top clubs.
Meanwhile, Al Nassr shows no intention to slow down in their pursuit of buying top talents from Europe. On their target list now is a veteran Manchester City midfielder. Citing the latest reports, the Saudi-based is preparing to launch a reasonable too, very soon.

Al Nassr brim with high confidence, more than ever before
There is no denying that Al Nassr are playing exceptionally well with their new star players and under manager, Luis Castro. However, this sudden boost in confidence is not just from the wins in the league but the club’s performance in the pre-season tour. Against PSG and Inter Milan in exhibition matches, the club came out to perform exceptionally well, keeping a draw against both sides.
Citing their evident quality and ability to keep their defenses strong, Alex Telles makes a big claim about Al Nassr. The former Manchester United player said, “Al Nassr can beat any European club!”. Currently, Al Nassr stands 2nd on the league table having played one less game than league leaders, Al Hilal. This goes a long way to point out where Telles’ confidence stems from.
They are doing well in both the AFC Champions League group and King’s Cup too. The team showed its resilience in their last tie against Steven Gerrard’s Al Ettifaq in the King’s Cup, where they held onto their defenses to clinch a nail-biting 1-0 win in the 107th minute.

This is though, just the beginning for Al Nassr. The Saudi team has amazing plans for their upcoming endeavors which includes the signing of a veteran 32-year-old Belgian international. But, it won’t be easy to simply snatch him from under the grasp of Pep Guardiola.

Cristiano Ronaldo to share the stage with Kevin De Bruyne
Al Nassr has launched an ambitious mission to lure the mighty Kevin De Bruyne to Riyadh. The Belgian soccer star had a spectacular season last year, winning the treble with Manchester City, and finishing fourth in this year’s Ballon d’Or. Recent reports indicate that Al Nassr is prepared to offer Manchester City a staggering $75 million signing fee to secure De Bruyne’s services. This mind-boggling offer would also triple his current $495,000 wage at the club.

De Bruyne, who signed a contract extension in 2021 that runs until 2025, has been a crucial figure at Manchester City since he arrived in 2015 from VfL Wolfsburg. Nearing the latter stages of his career, it wouldn’t come as a shock if the 32-year-old City star considers a change of environment. Any thoughts? Let us know in the comments below.
