There were expectations that Anthony Martial could relaunch his Manchester United career under Erik ten Hag. It, however, now looks like his journey with the club could be over.

Despite the club having the option to extend Martial’s contract for one more season, reports indicate that the Red Devils have made up their mind. Amid this, the agent of Martial has also approached Saudi side Al Ettifaq. The club is managed by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard. This indicates that the Red Devils have no problems with him finding a new club. Manchester United would love a transfer fee in the January transfer window. If not, the plan remains that he can leave on a free next summer.

However, the biggest one was Cristiano Ronaldo on a free transfer to Al Nassr. His issues with Erik ten Hag led to the Portuguese star moving to the Saudi League in the last season.
