The life after the break up changed significantly for Gerard Pique and Shakira. In terms of finances, while the ex-soccer star managed to grow his net worth to a whopping $80 million, the singer also grew her riches to $300 million. But despite all of this, there’s bad news waiting for Pique as the former FC Barcelona man is set to receive a major financial blow from his most exciting venture in 2023.

After his retirement, Pique cashed out $3 million as profits from the first season of the Kings League. However, it seems the former Spanish international will now receive a huge financial setback as the expected revenues have started to take a fall.

Everything indicated that both Shakira and Pique were thriving after their separation. Shakira had returned with new music, and Pique had found success with his innovative soccer tournament namely the Kings League. However, recent reports in the Spanish media suggest that Pique’s venture has ceased to generate profits.

Pique’s financial situation is now being negatively impacted by the loss of certain sponsors and advertising campaigns for both his ‘Kings League’ venture and his company, Kosmos. As per Noticias Caracol, the Davis Cup has decided to discontinue its advertising collaboration with the former FC Barcelona defender. Also, the Mediaset television network has opted to remove ‘Kings League’ tournaments from its programming schedule.

After this news, Pique must be finding ways to curb his financial losses. Meanwhile, Shakira, on the other hand, is busy counting her dollars. Ever since her split up with Pique, she has thrived a lot on the financial front. The majority of her huge financial boost occurred after she released a few diss tracks dissing her ex-boyfriend Pique, earlier in the year.

Aside from this, her Miami abode, which she bought for $3.1 million in 2001 has now seen a surge of $29 million. This certainly gives a major boost to her assets. Furthermore, the Columbian pop star has also received a few individual acclaim. Her most recent achievement is her nomination for MTV’s Illustrious Video Vanguard Award. She is the first Latin American singer to achieve this honor. Despite a few domestic hiccups with Pique, on the professional front, life has been on an upward trend for Shakira.
