The life after the break up changed significantly for Gerard Pique and Shakira. In terms of finances, while the ex-soccer star managed to grow his net worth to a whopping $80 million, the singer also grew her riches to $300 million. But despite all of this, there’s bad news waiting for Pique as the former FC Barcelona man is set to receive a major financial blow from his most exciting venture in 2023.

After his retirement, Pique cashed out $3 million as profits from the first season of the Kings League. However, it seems the former Spanish international will now receive a huge financial setback as the expected revenues have started to take a fall.

Everything indicated that both Shakira and Pique were thriving after their separation. Shakira had returned with new music, and Pique had found success with his innovative soccer tournament namely the Kings League. However, recent reports in the Spanish media suggest that Pique’s venture has ceased to generate profits.

Pique’s financial situation is now being negatively impacted by the loss of certain sponsors and advertising campaigns for both his ‘Kings League’ venture and his company, Kosmos. As per Noticias Caracol, the Davis Cup has decided to discontinue its advertising collaboration with the former FC Barcelona defender. Also, the Mediaset television network has opted to remove ‘Kings League’ tournaments from its programming schedule.

Indeed, it isn’t good news for Pique. He must be displeased with these unexpected setbacks that have occurred in his businesses. While his venture’s revenue reportedly spirals downwards, his ex-partner continues to garner millions of dollars through her music career.

After this news, Pique must be finding ways to curb his financial losses. Meanwhile, Shakira, on the other hand, is busy counting her dollars.
