While Al Nassr complained to the match officials reporting the one-sided chanting against Cristiano, it seems the side’s attempt to subdue their skipper’s actions has been in vain. According to reports, the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, following an investigation, has made its stance clear over CR7’s actions. Sources suggest, “The Disciplinary Committee is moving to suspend Cristiano Ronaldo for two matches and fine him for unsportsmanlike behavior.”

With the ban in effect, the Al Nassr skipper will face a two-game suspension following his actions and will be unavailable for the team’s games against Al Hazm and Al Raed.

Things turned heated during the clash between Al Nassr and Al Shadab as rival fans started chanting Lionel Messi’s name with the game level at 2-2. It did not go down with Cristiano Ronaldo, who made an NSFW gesture while pointing towards his jersey shorts. While the player will face the repercussions for his act, this isn’t the first time CR7 has clapped back against fans this season.
