CONMEBOL Announces New Copa America Trophy For 2024 in USA

The Copa America 2024 is set to be one of the biggest soccer attractions this coming year. CONMEBOL nations will be eyeing to get their eyes on the title, with the organization set to unveil a new trophy design for the upcoming edition of the tournament. According to Argentine journalist Gaston Edul, the trophy will maintain the main shape but come with a new design.

Earlier this month, CONMEBOL announced the pots for the upcoming edition of the tournament. The draw is set to take place tonight, with the sixteen teams set to be divided across four groups. The hosts USA has been drawn in the same pot as Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico, which saves them from facing the three nations during the group stages.

Argentine journalist Gaston Edul broke a massive update just minutes ago. Based on the updates from the journalist, the winners of the upcoming edition of the tournament will lift a brand new title design.

Based on the update from X account All About Argentina, “CONMEBOL is going to present a new version of the Copa America trophy at the tournament draw tonight – it maintains the main shape, but it’s a new version.”

Big names across both North and South America will hope to get their hands on the coveted title. Lionel Messi and Argentina have been in excellent form following their World Cup triumph and would love to retain the Copa America title.

The draw for the tournament will take place tonight in Miami, with all sixteen sides divided across four groups for the group stages. The top two teams from each group will then qualify for the knockout stages of the tournament.

The Copa America 2024 will kick start on the 20th of June with defending champions Argentina locked in to participate in the tournament opener. The Albiceleste would love to retain the title, with this likely going to be Lionel Messi’s last major tournament with the side.

Similarly, Brazil will also want to get their hands on the title after failing to beat their arc-rival in the previous edition of the tournament. The Selecao will be boosted by Neymar Jr, who is likely to return from injury before the tournament.
