After a heartbreaking Riyadh Season Cup, Al Nassr is back to their basics. Luis Castro and Co. will be resuming the second half of the 2023–24 season with the much-anticipated AFC Champions League RO16 clash against Al Feiha. While the preparations for the match are in full swing, encouraging updates emerge regarding Cristiano Ronaldo, who is ready to start the crucial face-off.

The Portuguese superstar had been sidelined due to a calf injury, which saw him miss the China tour and the match against Inter Miami. He also missed out on the eagerly awaited last dance with Lionel Messi. While Ronaldo did make a return against Al Hilal, concerns were raised over his presence in the impending Champions League clash. The striker had played over 90 minutes in the final. However, as per renowned Saudi Arabian journalist Abdulaziz Al-Osaimi, CR7 has done the necessary training with the squad and is set to make an appearance against Al Feiha.

Al-Osaimi further added that Ronaldo had been missing Al Nassr a lot and was excited to welcome their presence during the upcoming clash. This is certainly a relieving update for the Knights of the Najd as well as the fans. Moreover, a video surfaced earlier showing that the 39-year-old had been training alone at the training ground. Yet, it seems Ronaldo is ready for the Champions League challenge. Likewise, doubts are in the air regarding the availability of their 35YO star, who also missed the clash against Jorge Jesus’ side. Additionally, there’s a surprise for Al Nassr before their Wednesday clash.
