Cristiano Ronaldo Persuades Premier League Duo to Depart Manchester City and Liverpool Amid Al-Nassr’s Interest- Reports

The ongoing 2023-24 domestic campaign might be coming to an end but the transfer mill never skips a beat. Each day is met with remarkable rumors with the latest talk surrounding Al Nassr. Per reports, the Saudi Arabian side looks to keep up the mass exodus from Europe by bringing two Premier League stars; Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva and Liverpool’s Luis Diaz are the latest names on their radar, with their star player, Cristiano Ronaldo, leading the persuasion efforts to entice them away from Europe. 

With the current season again turning into turmoil, the Knights of the Najd have nothing but to think about their future. As complied by X account @ByanNassr and reported by Geo News, Al Nassr will be pushing for Silva and Diaz in the upcoming transfer window. While lucrative contracts are expected to do their job, the skipper and face of the team, Ronaldo, will personally contact both players to don the yellow and blue jersey alongside him. But will the task be easy for Al-Nassr and CR7?

Notably, Silva’s contract with Manchester City expires in 2026. Meanwhile, Diaz is tied to Liverpool until 2027. Hence, there’s no doubt that Al Nassr would be required to pay some sort of fee for both stars. Although Silva has often made transfer headlines, with Ronaldo’s national teammate being linked with big European clubs, Diaz remains a surprise entry. Having joined the Reds last year, the Colombian winger has been in decent form for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

In over 44 appearances, he has bagged 13 goals and 4 assists. On the other hand, Silva has 10 goals and 5 assists in 40 games. Hence, let’s see if Al Nassr is able to complete either of the transfers, considering that one of their star players is looking to leave.

According to recent reports, Aymeric Laporte is considering a transfer to Spain. The reports indicate that Laporte aims to make the move during the upcoming summer, once the league concludes in May. Previously, he stated, “I will very likely return to Europe in the future.” Despite having a three-year contract with the Knights of Najd, it remains uncertain whether the club will agree to a transfer or contract termination.

Furthermore, the talented defender expressed dissatisfaction with Al-Nassr’s contract negotiations. Aside from acknowledging that the players are ‘unhappy,’ the former Manchester City star revealed that the Roshn League side even ‘fight‘ to make things difficult during negotiations. Perhaps such factors might be forcing Laporta to leave. Let’s hope Al Nassr’s two priority signings, Luis Diaz and Bernardo Silva, don’t get wind of this.
