Al Nassr extended their winning streak with a gripping triumph over Al Akhdoud. The Knights of the Najd successfully took three points back to Riyadh with an enthralling comeback in a five-goal thriller that left fans on the edge of their seats. As their faithful resonated with the victory, star player Cristiano Ronaldo fired off a succinct five-word message regarding his side’s performance.

Hours after the match, the Portuguese superstar took to Instagram and shared a carousel of images showcasing the action from the game alongside his teammates. Accompanying the images was a caption declaring, “Never give up! 🔥 LET’S GO!!” Ronaldo echoed the same sentiment on another social media platform, X, optimistically encapsulating his side’s stellar performance. Even though the win doesn’t help them much with their chances to win the Roshn Saudi League, the Al Nassr skipper is happy with his side’s mentality to produce a comeback.

Notably, the Yellow and Blue broke the deadlock in just under 10 minutes, courtesy of Marcelo Brozovic. In the 15th minute, Ronaldo also managed to get his name on the scoresheet. Ending the first half with a double lead, things unfortunately went south for Al Nassr, who were without Luis Castro, as the home side managed to level the score, adding to goals at the hour mark. However, Brozovic wasn’t interested in letting his efforts go in vain, as he scored the winning goal in stoppage time, completing his brace.

While Ronaldo appears impressed with his teammate’s brace, Brozovic also reacted to his own performance. The Croatian shared a carousel post of himself in action on Instagram with the caption, “🤓🫶.” Certainly, such performances are a need of the hour for Al Nassr, considering the crucial matches remaining before the season ends.
