Interestingly, a child asked the classic Messi or Ronaldo question from Raphinha. Without hesitating, the forward answered Messi. This was coincidentally recorded by a fan on his mobile phone. Additionally, he was also asked about his possible appearance at the El Classico, which will be played on October 28th at Barcelona’s temporary home stadium. The 26-year-old revealed “The Classico? I do not know yet. I want to be.”

It remains to be seen whether he’ll be handed over a start by Xavi. However, coming back to his answer, Raphinha’s choice between the two legendary players is clear as he vocally backs Messi. While it must be music to La Pulga’s ears, it wouldn’t settle with Ronaldo, given that the CR7’s club was interested in signing the Brazilian.

Al Nassr wanted to sign Raphinha

Throughout the summer transfer window, Al Nassr had their sights on Raphinha to strengthen their attack. According to Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari, the Knights of Najd had initiated an initial conversation with the Brazilian international to explore the potential transfer.

However, the deal couldn’t materialize, eventually falling through and resulting in the right winger remaining at Barcelona. Thus far, his second season with the Catalans is progressing quite well. He has notched 2 goals and two assists in both La Liga and the Champions League. Barcelona, nevertheless, would not be too keen to let the Brazilian move.
