Shakira had quite a dramatic Valentine’s Day this year. The Colombian singer has not left a single chance to fire a shot at her ex-boyfriend, Gerard Pique. Yesterday too, she slyly took a dig at her former better half again. While that controversy will go on forever, recent statistics about Spotify surfaced on the internet.

A Twitter user listed the top 10 most heard artists on Valentine’s Day. Since releasing her diss track, Shakira has dominated quite a few global music charts. She appears to be on this list too, alongside Rihanna.

The fans weren’t surprised at all because the Colombian star has suddenly re-shot herself to fame in the last month.

Shakira features alongside Rihanna on a Valentine’s Day list!

Without a doubt, Taylor Swift topped the Valentine’s Day chart with 50.8 million streams. One of Shakira’s good companions’ Rihanna claims the second place with 47.5 million. However, there is a steep fall in the numbers after Taylor Swift and Rihanna. SZA sits third with 28.6 million streams followed by Miley Cyrus and Shakira. The fans were delighted to see the Latin American star rank in the top five most-heard singers on Valentine’s Day.

The 46-year-old is experiencing the ‘second’ prime of her career. Her diss track with Bizarrap turned into a global hit in no time. The two of them also achieved various personal milestones through the diss track. Argentine DJ, Bizarrap’s YouTube channel reached 6 billion views during the last month. The two of them have dominated various global and American music charts too.

The diss track garnered over 320 million views on YouTube. However, the fans were quite disappointed after the Latin American singer’s name didn’t reflect on any Grammy list this year. It’s true that the Colombian star has taken her foot off the pedal in the recent past due to her personal struggles. However, the few songs that she has composed recently are up there in terms of quality.

While Beyonce broke the all-time record for winning the most Grammys, the fans were at least expecting a simple nomination for Shakira.

Shakira’s Grammy museum experience coming up!

The 46-year-old has won three Grammy Awards to date in 2001, 2006, and 2018 for Best Latin Pop Album, Best Latin Rock Album, and Best Latin Album respectively. Before releasing her diss track the Latin American star was out of the limelight for quite a few months. But since the last month, every news headline has her name on it. Despite not featuring in any Grammy list this year, Grammy still decided to honor the Hips Don’t Lie singer.

A few weeks ago, the Grammy Museum made a very special announcement. The historic museum was preparing to showcase Shakira’s musical evolution since she started as a singer.

Her Superbowl outfits from 2020 are one thing that will be on display at the Grammy Museum. Without a doubt, the Colombian star left her mark on the music industry. She still remains a very adored name in the soccer universe after composing ‘Waka-Waka’ in 2010.
