The Kylian Mbappe-Real Madrid transfer saga has ended with the club refusing to purchase the player. Despite the player’s contract expiring in 2024, PSG never released him without a fee, successfully persuading him to remain with the soccer club. Moreover, the player will extend his contract with the club until 2026 to keep the player at the club. But there is a catch to the deal. No matter what, Mbappe joining Madrid looks inevitable. With Carlo Ancelotti explaining how the deal was done and dusted, there was a catch to the new extension.

The player started two games for PSG and scored two goals. Therefore, the player is looking to leave the club in the upcoming years but not for free, possibly. Although the transfer fees could be mammoth, hopefully, the two clubs can strike a deal in the future.

According to the DailyMail, a mystery clause in the contract would assist him in moving to Real Madrid. With Florentino Perez being a long-time admirer of Mbappe, the president hopes to strike a deal. As for PSG, they wanted their sporting director, Luis Campos, to keep him in the club. In fact, if he failed to convince him, the club would sack the sporting director. The soccer gods blessed Campos as Mbappe is here to stay.

Moreover, the club spends the money received from Lionel Messi and Neymar on other players. After failing to win the Champions League with their own version of the Galacticos, the club is looking for a rather subtle approach.
