Kylian Mbappe is one of the most sought-after strikers in the current market. He is the face of PSG and arguably the best player in their squad. In an attempt to make him extend his stay at Parc Des Princes, PSG offered Mbappe a contract worth $1 billion. The deal was put forth to make him extend his stay for 10 more years and fend off any interest from Real Madrid. The Frenchman though refused to entertain any such offers and is yet to decide on his future. Amidst this, the French club has received another terrible update concerning Mbappe.
PSG have left no stone unturned in their attempts to extend Mbappe’s contract but the soccer star remains adamant about leaving the club. Mbappe has told the club that he doesn’t see a future with them. The recent update concerning Mbappe has put more pressure on Luis Enrique.

Kylian Mbappe situation adds to PSG’s woes
Another summer passed with Mbappe headlining the transfer news. The Frenchman was supposed to leave last summer with a move to Real Madrid but instead signed an extension with the Paris club. Now the striker is back in PSG’s first-team squad but is said to be facing an injury.
Didier Deschamps, the manager of France national soccer team, gave an update before Frances’ match against Germany. Deschamps said, “He (Mbappe) has a patellar tendon problem following Monday’s training session. It’s not serious, but it’s a problem that’s bothering him and also carries risks. So if he doesn’t start, bringing him back won’t improve his situation.”

The France boss cleared any reasons to worry for the fans and especially for PSG. He said it was nothing serious and it was a precautionary step to leave him out of the game.
Be it with Kylian Mbappe or without him, the upcoming fixtures are a matter of concern for Luis Enrique. With Kylian Mbappe out though it will be a big moment for the new signings, Randal Kolo Muani and Goncalo Ramos, to shine in his absence.

The Champions League bells are closing in for PSG
The French club are in the Champions League group with the most difficult fixtures. Often called “The group of death”, the tournament starts after their next Ligue 1 fixture. Luis Enrique has a lot of work and thinking to do before it begins. Their next three fixtures are against OGC Nice away in Ligue 1, Dortmund away in UCL, and Marseille at home in Ligue 1.

There will be immense pressure on Luis Enrique and his team as they set out to achieve their targets. Enrique would be hoping that Mbappe gets fit and is available to join the squad. Randal Kolo Muani will definitely be making his debut in one of the upcoming matches. The expectations will be high from the $101.9 million rated star.

With Newcastle United and Milan in their UCL group, every match will require PSG to be at the top of their game.
