The whole world has been talking about the incident during the Valencia-Madrid game. While the game ended 1-0 in favor of Valencia, it also saw Vinicius getting a red card. Following the match, Valencia CF coach Rubén Baraja spoke to the media and addressed various allegations of racist chants from the stands.

During the press conference, the coach pointed fingers at the Brazilian winger for instigating the fans. “We all have a lot of tension. These types of gestures are also very condemnable. Do not do the same thing you complain about to our fans. He will apologise because he is a great player (Vinícius) and we also apologise if he has been offended, but it is evident that if you make that gesture to somebody’s face, they will get hot-tempered.”

Baraja says both parties are at fault and urged the talented youngster to apologize to the fans. “I would like it if people talked about football. You have to really focus on what is really important, which is the football side, but logically things happened during the game and you have to talk about that,” he added.
