In a similar act of solidarity for the city, the duo is now planning to take one of their favorites and Wrexham’s local band ‘Declan Swans’ to a global stage. Interestingly, their efforts in pushing the Swans come after the duo publicly stated their wish to see Taylor Swift perform at the Red Dragons’ stadium someday.

As per sources; Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in a bid to help the Declan Swans gain some exposure completely funded the band’s travel to Philadelphia. The band members Michael Hett, Mark Jones, and Brian Jones, were also joined by the landlord of Wrexham’s Turf pub, Wayne Jones.

“Last month Ryan and Rob flew the band out to Philadelphia to help them make a name for themselves over there,” revealed the source to The Sun. “They footed the bill for the entire trip and invited Wayne Jones, the landlord of Wrexham’s Turf pub, along for the ride,” revealed the source.

The Declans Swans were given the opportunity to play their set at McElhenney’s pub and safe to say; they put their best foot forward as the punters went mad for their melodies. “It was a big boozy night and they went down like a storm, just like Ryan and Rob imagined,” said the source. This is truly a wholesome gesture by Ryan and Rob considering the duo’s first introduction to the bad were under very interesting circumstances.

Ryan and Rob met first heard Declan Swans through a parody song

The ‘Declan Swans’ came under the radar of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in truly hilarious circumstances. As per the locals of the city, the band caught the duo’s attention by composing several songs, including one titled “Always Sunny In Wrexham,” which pays homage to Rob’s popular TV show “Always Sunny in Philadelphia.”

Despite the absurdity, the duo needs to be given credit for spotting and supporting the talent. As per sources, the reason why Rob and Ryan support the Swans is also due to them being from Wrexham. They just love the city and would love to make more talent global from there.
