Famous Comedian, John Oliver certainly has his way with words. His show ‘Last Week Tonight with John Oliver‘, won prizes at the Emmy and he treated the audience with an eye-opening speech on behalf of the staff. Last Week Tonight overcame tough competition from the likes of Saturday Night Live and A Black Lady Sketch Show to win the Emmy for Outstanding Scripted Variety Series. However, nobody could have predicted what John Oliver was up to next. Having realized, that there was still time left on the clock to conclude his speech, he set out to name Liverpool’s XI! He said, “I’m gonna start reading off the names of the Liverpool Football Team.” He listed the names of Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander Arnold, and Virgil van Dijk before being asked to wrap it up. The audience immediately burst into laughter.

It seems John Oliver took up the challenge as a funny banter with host Anthony Anderson, and he even referenced his mom, who was in attendance. However, it isn’t the first time the comedian has been seen linking up with the Reds.
