Erling Haaland is living a prosperous life thanks to his remarkable soccer career. The Norwegian superstar’s record-breaking and goal-scoring prowess in the beautiful game has helped him bask in the rewards, marked by a bumper contract from Manchester City. Unsurprisingly, the latest headlines suggested that the player took it a step further, embracing a life of luxury by spending his millions on a private jet. However, Haaland himself cleared the air, slamming the ‘Clowns’ for disseminating ‘Fake news.’

The clarification came just minutes ago from the recent Globe Soccer Best Men’s Award winner. Several Norwegian outlets reported that he had bought a private jet for himself. Despite this, the star player of the Sky Blues team took to Instagram and uploaded a screenshot of the news story as reported by Norwegian media outlets. Along with it, he wrote a caption saying, “Ikkje tru pä alt dei skrive om meg,” or, as translated, “Don’t believe everything they write about me,” while also writing #FakeNews and #Clowns.

The 23-year-old’s rant didn’t end there. He added another story by posting a screenshot of the journalist’s profile, named Olav Gram Degnes, who is, interestingly, from his own nation. Haaland again wrote in a caption in bold font saying, “Reise og fritid,” meaning “Travel and leisure,” accompanied by a clown emoji. It seems these claims have brought discontent to Haaland, who couldn’t contain his anger. Either way, it’s right that he exposed the truth of the shocking report among his 38.2 million followers.

Notably, Haaland addressed these rumors following his side’s 3-1 victory against Burnley in the Premier League. In fact, the striker ended his month-long exile, a break that rejuvenated his mind.

Before the Burnley fixture, Pep Guardiola discussed Erling Haaland’s eagerness to play, claiming the striker got bored after missing weeks of action. However, the Spanish tactician asserted that he needed a break from soccer. “At the same time, he refreshed his mind. When he came back from the summertime, [Haaland] was a little bit tired,” said Guardiola.

The former Barcelona manager said that last season’s pressure to play in three finals left Haaland mentally tired. He further insisted that this break would allow the Norwegian hitman to give his all for Manchester City until the end of the season. Either way, let’s hope Haaland gets back on track to his scoring ways.
