On the evening following Manchester United’s Premier League triumph over Burnley, Marcus Rashford found himself in a car accident. This incident reportedly unfolded after the English star left Manchester United’s training ground, Carrington.

According to reports, Rashford was behind the wheel of his $856,000 Rolls-Royce when the collision occurred with another vehicle. Images capturing the aftermath of the accident circulated on social media, revealing a noticeable dent in one of the vehicles involved. Although both Rashford and the other driver were undoubtedly shaken by the incident, fortunately, neither of them sustained any injuries that required immediate medical attention.

The police quickly responded to the scene of the accident. Notably, United’s captain, Bruno Fernandes, also came near the incident and halted to offer assistance. Presently, the area is cordoned off with traffic cones and barriers as authorities conduct their investigation. Nevertheless, it is a huge relief that Manchester United’s star No. 10 wasn’t harmed.

While Rashford may have survived a car crash, he won’t be able to escape a possible dressing-down from his coach, Erik Ten Hag. The striker didn’t have a good game, as he had fewer touches than the goalkeeper.

Rashford had fewer touches than the goalkeeper!

In yesterday’s win against the Clarets, Despite playing the whole 90 minutes, Rashford was missing throughout the match. Besides failing to find the back of the net, the 25-year-old even had a poor performance overall. Surprisingly, according to stats from SofaScore and FotMob, Rashford managed only 46 touches in the entire 90 minutes. This number is even lower than that of his own team’s goalkeeper, Andre Onana, who had 47 touches.

While it’s quite understandable for a goalkeeper to have such a touch count, Rashford’s lack of involvement is raising eyebrows. Typically, the striker bears the responsibility of leading the attack, yet he couldn’t conjure much during the game. Moreover, he wasn’t significantly involved in defensive duties either. Certainly, the manager will need to assess his situation and offer him a pep talk to help him bounce back in the next fixture.
