The Danish superstar suffered an identical incident during a EURO 2020 game against Finland. Eriksen collapsed during the game back in June 2021 and had to be given CPR on the pitch.
The medical staff stabilized the player on the pitch and was hospitalized. It took over six months for the player to recover as the team and player mutually terminated the contract with his then-team- Inter. He made a comeback in February 2022 to play for the Premier League side Brentford on a free transfer. Eriksen currently plays for Manchester United and is out for months with an ankle injury.
