Mbappe has shown frustration at his teammates for not passing the ball to him. He has drawn criticism from many critics.
One such incident made Wayne Rooney criticize Mbappe back in August this year. It was in a match against Montpellier in August that the controversy happened.

Wayne Rooney blasted Kylian Mbappe
PSG took on Montpellier in a Ligue 1 match in August 2022, and Mbappe missed a penalty. PSG won another penalty and as decided, Neymar stood on the spot to take it. It is where the drama happened, as Mbappe shouldered Lionel Messi while he was going toward Neymar to ask to take the penalty. Neymar denied giving a penalty to Mbappe.

As the footage started circulating over social media, many fans and pundits blasted Mbappe for his behavior. Wayne Rooney jumped on the scene too. Rooney said, “A 22-23-year-old player throwing a shoulder at Messi… I have never seen a bigger ego than this in my life. Someone remind Mbappe that at 22 years old, Messi had four Ballon d’Ors.”
