The move of Lionel Messi from PSG to Inter Miami is shocking for the soccer fraternity. He expressed his intentions to leave the French club after two unhappy years. After winning the World Cup in December, Messi wanted a career change. And although a return to Barcelona was on the cards, complications in the deal stalled the process. So, the Argentinian waited no further and took his talents to South Beach. But, an iconic goalkeeper explained how that move turned sour for the player. Instead, he wanted Messi to join the treble winners.

Manchester City won their first UEFA Champions League title by defeating Inter Milan. The soccer club is on a high, and moving to the club would promise him more trophies. According to the former San Lorenzo goalkeeper, Jorge D’Alessandro detailed the prospects of him joining City.

The goalkeeper wanted Messi to join the English giants, where he could play with world-class players. In a recent interview, Jorge stated“Imagine what Messi could be throwing balls at Haaland, seeking to break Walker… Playing on the other side with Grealish or Gündogan. “Manchester City was the ideal team for Messi. Messi is unique, everything is built around him. Just imagine the prospect of that. Already the squad has established players in each position.

Putting Messi into the mix would elevate this team to greater heights. He can play from the right wing, as an attacking midfielder, and as a false nine where Pep Guardiola previously managed him to perfection. The options are unlimited. Pep has a playing philosophy of passing the ball and wants his players to be composed in all situations. Messi fits the bill perfectly and could be one of the best players on the team. Jorge pointed out how Argentinian coach Lionel Scaloni tailor-made the squad according to his needs.
