Nolito had joined Manchester City the same year as Pep Guardiola, as the team’s first-ever signing since the new boss’ arrival. The winger only managed to show up for 19 City games. Subsequently, the lackluster run came to an end in a year. Nolito returned to Spain and joined Sevilla.
2. Danilo
Danilo, the Brazilian, has taken his talents to numerous soccer giants such as Porto, Real Madrid, and Juventus. Danilo had joined City a year after Pep Guardiola’s move. In fact, Guardiola himself had picked the Brazilian in 2017. Later, Guardiola realized the signing was a mistake and let go of Danilo in two years.
3. Claudio Bravo
Claudio Bravo has shown mettle as a goalkeeper for his nation, Chile. Bravo joined City in 2016 and stayed till 2020. Though his stint seems longer than the aforementioned players, Bravo had hardly started for City during his stay. Bravo was a regular starter only during his first season. Besides, City fans were not quite happy with Guardiola for replacing veteran Joe Hart with Bravo. Anyhow, Ederson Moraes, City’s current goalie, joined in 2017 and replaced Bravo ever since.
