While talking to Marca, Clichy revealed about the 2016 season with Manchester City, stating, “My last year at City was Pep’s first season at the club. I played more games with him in a season than with any other City manager. But I have opposite feelings about that year with Pep. I am grateful for what I learned under his direction, but I would have liked it to have been more than one season.”

The Frenchman announced his retirement from all forms of soccer last season. Clichy is currently serving as the assistant manager for the French U-21 side alongside his ex-teammate, Thierry Henry. The ex-Cityzens star has done a decent job so far with the Les Blues and hopes to replicate some of the success his former boss has achieved. As for Pep, he climbs ladders, hungrier to win another trophy!
