There is no room for ifs, ands, or buts for tomorrow. For those who are still scratching their heads, well, clear your calendar, as FC Barcelona will take on Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final. While supporters prepare to be glued to their screens, it seems the plans for Luis Suarez are also set, as he claims that ‘watching the Super Final is always beautiful.’

The Uruguayan superstar is busy facing the limelight for finally joining forces with Inter Miami, as he sat down for a detailed press conference to discuss his move. He was asked if the striker has plans alongside Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba to watch their former team together. Interestingly, Suarez replied, “Feelings towards Barcelona will always remain. In fact, we have not yet talked about the date of the match, but we will definitely meet because we love football, we love Barcelona, and watching the Super Final is always beautiful. You all know who we’ll be rooting for.”

Despite leaving the club, all four remain Culers as they look to cheer for the red and blue jersey while watching the match. Notably, the last time Barcelona faced Real Madrid was during La Liga, where a masterclass brace from Jude Bellingham helped Carlo Ancelotti’s side clinch a 1-2 away victory. Let’s see what the outcome will be this time. Undoubtedly, Barca fans must be pleased to see the new Inter Miami gang support the Catalans. However, discontent must have appeared after the Herons rejected a chance to reunite the quartet with their former club.

Inter Miami rejected a chance to reunite Luis Suarez and gang with Barcelona

Barcelona had previously stated their intention to embark on a pre-season tour in the United States, inviting Inter Miami to a friendly encounter. However, Inter Miami has unexpectedly refused Messi, Suarez, Alba, and Busquets’ reunion with their former team. While David Beckham’s soccer company has not publicly stated the cause for the decision, the biggest factor appears to be the Herons’ hectic schedule.

The main reason for the denial is that during the European preseason, MLS teams participated heavily in League Cup competitions. Furthermore, practicalities make it exceedingly improbable that such a match would take place immediately following the completion of the Copa America event, ruling Messi out. Nevertheless, it certainly would have been a treat for Barca fans to see their club’s legends.
