While Manchester City could be in for an enormous boost with some big returns, it seems like Manchester City is in no rush to get their players onto the field. Cityzens boss Pep Guardiola, in his press conference, talked about the injuries to Kevin De Bruyne, and Jeremy Doku, stating, “They are training with us for the last 2-3 sessions. Jeremy feels really, really good, Kevin as well. We have to be patient with Kevin and give him the right minutes.”

He then continued, “Erling is a little bit better, it’s bone, so we have to be careful. He’s done 2-3 sessions and feels good after. I don’t know for Sunday or Newcastle, but hopefully, for the rest, they will be ready.”

The race for the Premier League title is heating up with teams now looking to bring out their best during the second half of the campaign. Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are currently at the top of the table with 45 points from 20 games. While the side has a five-point advantage over Manchester City, their lead could vanish in the coming games.

The Cityzens have forty points to their name, but from nineteen games. A win in their next league game against Newcastle could see them cut the gap to just 2 points. A win would see Pep Guardiola’s men climb to the second spot with 43 points, ahead of Aston Villa, who are currently second with 42 points. Manchester City has proven time and again that they are the side to beat in the title race.
