Who doesn’t love a good surprise? It’s even better when that surprise comes from someone we admire. In a similar incident, Manchester United Women’s star Ella Toone once also received a special gift from none other than her ‘inspiration,‘ Cristiano Ronaldo, after she was ‘meant to meet’ the Al Nassr star.
The interesting revelation came after the English soccer star was invited to the Saving Grace podcast, hosted by internet personality, Grace Eleanor Keeling, also known as GK Barry. When questioned about her inspiration growing up, Toone took Ronaldo’s name. Interestingly, when the host further asked if she ever got a chance to meet her, she succinctly denied it by saying “No,” but shared an interesting narrative.
The 24-year-old said, “He did send a video to me once. I was meant to meet him and we were meant to do a shoot together but when I got there he’d gone. So then, they got him to send me a video.” When further interrogated by Grace as to what the former Real Madrid man said in the video, the WSL star said, “‘Hi Ella.’ I can’t remember the rest but it was really nice. I have saved [the clip] in the camera roll.”

When it’s a message from Ronaldo, of course, it’s meant to be saved. Perhaps Ronaldo must have sent the video in order to make up to Toones for leaving the scheduled shoot early, as the Red Devils star was eager to meet her idol. Be that as it may, it is quite an intriguing revelation from the English midfielder. Even though, besides men’s soccer, there are many female soccer stars who admire CR7, one unique revelation still stands out!

Ana Maria Markovic is yet another female soccer star who is impressed by the Portuguese superstar. Earlier, the Grasshopper FC star of the Swiss Super League mentioned Cristiano Ronaldo’s name when asked about the GOAT debate. Apart from endorsing Ramona Bachmann as the best women’s player, she stated, “My absolute favorite player is Cristiano Ronaldo because he’s just so disciplined.” But that’s not all!
Markovic further emphasized her admiration by striving to embody all the characteristics that the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner possesses. “I think it’s super important that you give your all in sport and have a good mindset like him,” she added. Notably, similar to Ella Toone, Markovic also had the opportunity to collaborate with Ronaldo. Unlike the United star, however, the world’s most beautiful soccer star had the chance to meet her idol.
