However, another supporter saw the funny side of the Messi comparison and added, “Missing chances doesn’t mean Messi should rob the Balon d’Or.”

It was in the 44th minute that the chaos was ensured. Manchester City, at that point, were tailing their city rivals. A good passage of play from the Sky Blues led to Phil Foden giving a looping header to the Norwegian ace. However, the striker miscued, and the shot went high and over without even troubling the goalkeeper.

Hence, it proves world-class players will miss chances and have bad games. But, it’s how they respond to the situation that matters.
