Cristiano Ronaldo stunned everyone when he joined the Saudi Arabian side, Al Nassr, leaving Manchester United. The striker agreed to a mouth-watering $200 million-a-year contract with the Middle Eastern club. The Portuguese striker ended his reign in Europe after spending over a decade with elite clubs.

Since then, CR7 has been enjoying his life with his new outfit and is leading them to glory. Many were critical of his shocking move to the Middle Eastern side, but he seems to have settled in well with the club.
However, before making his stunning transfer, the striker was linked with a host of clubs. This was after his relationship with Manchester United deteriorated, as they wanted to offload the striker. Moreover, the player’s controversial interview with Piers Morgan ignited the fire with the Red Devils.
Georgina opens up on controversial rumors of Cristiano Ronaldo
While searching for potential suitors across Europe, the player was linked to his former team’s arch-rivals, Atletico Madrid. However, the player reportedly rejected the offer, thus leaving the Rojo Blancos empty-handed.
In fact, Ronaldo’s girlfriend, Georgina, has opened up about the rumors, claiming he had no intention of joining the club at that time. “That option was never something he had in mind,” said Georgina. The 29-year-old spoke about it during an interview on Wednesday night, ahead of the release of her second Netflix series, “I Am Georgina,” which premieres on Friday.

There were rumors that Diego Simeone’s men gave Antonio Griezmann and Alvaro Morata, which could give Ronaldo a Champions League football. But the move never materialized as he joined the Middle Eastern club. Moreover, fans were upset with his rejection and in aguish, fans unveiled a banner reading, in English, “CR7 not welcome”. It didn’t infuriate the CR7, as he laughed off their response.
When asked about her possible return to Spain after Ronaldo’s retirement. She said, “We want to keep a house in Madrid operative because you just never know. We have a lot of children. Junior is getting older and wants to become a professional footballer and we don’t know what the future holds.”
Life in Saudi Arabia
Nevertheless, Ronaldo and his family are enjoying a new life in a foreign country. Georgina also gave an insight into their new routine, which has changed since her partner’s transfer.
“In Saudi Arabia they train later because of the climate. In Manchester, we all got up at the same time and had breakfast together before the children went to school. Now I get up at 6.30am and take the kids to school before going back home and Cristiano gets up later.”

Georgina also admitted she isn’t much into soccer. “I’m not into football. I’ve always loved ballet and started working when I was young and because of my timetables I was never able to see matches.”

Even if she doesn’t watch, Ronaldo continues to impress with his new side. The 38-year-old has scored 12 goals and has four assists in 26 overall appearances. He’ll be desperate to win major laurels with his new side.
