Reynolds definitely didn’t know about running a soccer club, but it seems he is doing just fine. And now he is set to broaden his horizons as he enters the fintech industry. The actor recently made an investment in Montreal-based payments company Nuvei Corp. Both Reynolds and the company’s chief executive, Philip Fayer, sat down for an interview with CNBC.

“I know nothing about fintech. Thank God, I’m not running the company,” he said. “While a lot of people are running away from fintech, this is one company worth running toward.” Nuvei is a payment service provider to the sports betting industry. Earlier Monday, Reynolds even did a promotional ad for the company. He even posted a hilarious video on Twitter. The video surely gave a laugh to many netizens. His investment in the company is mostly to promote the Canadian company, as he called the move “Canada-flexing.”

This comes just days after he doubled his net worth by selling his mobile company for $1.3 billion. He also had a few words regarding his other investments. “If you look at a gin company, a wireless company, and a Welsh football club, those things don’t really go together if you think about it, but they all have strong brand foundations.”

Either way, it seems the actor has been hit with a fever of fame and success, which he is currently enjoying majorly with Wrexham.
