Be it the senior team or the youth squad, USA’s men’s team seems to be the biggest headache for the US Soccer Federation. Just weeks after the USMNT crashed out of the US-hosted Copa America in the group stage, its U-23 team embarrassingly humbled out of the Paris Olympics in the quarter-finals. Morocco’s thumping 4-0 win against the US Men’s youth team proves the USSF has miles to go on the international stage.
Team USA’s players cut a helpless figure against Morocco led by PSG superstar Achraf Hakimi. USMNT players committed back-to-back mistakes and none of them went unpunished, as Morocco scored two goals in each half. On the back of this dismal Olympic campaign, the USMNT and the USSF are receiving the hairdryer treatment from fans.

Angry fans demand USSF staff to leave office after USMNT’s Olympic exit
The USSF had found itself in hot water last month when the US senior team crashed out of the home-based Copa America. The federation helplessly sacked former coach Gregg Berhalter. It is unsure if the USSF would sack Marko Mitrovic for his premature Olympic exit, especially considering the lackluster show against Morocco. But fans suggest it is high time the USSF officials sacked themselves!
“I speak for everyone when I say, everyone at @ussoccer please resign,” a user on X wrote in response to the USMNT’s post about their Olympic exit.

Two birds with one slingshot. Yet again, the USSF is taking the biggest blame.
Lmao these guys are garbage. US Soccer as a whole organization is shit

What’s your perspective on:
Is it time for a complete overhaul of the US Soccer Federation after this Olympic embarrassment?
Have an interesting take?
This user belittles the team by lauding their biggest rivals-Mexico’s milestone achievement. Mexico’s U-23 men’s team notably secured an Olympic gold in 2012, when they hosted the Summer Games.

A US supporter thinks the USMNT is more capable of embarrassing its fans, rather than winning important games!
Embarrassing. Once again the USSF is pathetic. You’d think it would be impossible to embarrass us at this point because it’s expected and yet… you always find a way.

Fans might be different. But they remain united by the need to see USSF officials quit their office after the Olympics.
Blow up the entire USSF

Team USA’s youth squad gets the hairdryer treatment for committing one mistake after the other.
awful team, cant even score a single goal in a quarter final and condedes 4 in what should have been a close game. 🤣

A netizen predicts doom for the USA’s young blood while blasting the USSF’s selection process.
At least they showed literally none of them will ever make it the Senior team so kudos to them … also that front 3 looks really creative with our best forward @diegoluna_ left at home 🤡 never change you clowns

With this Olympic exit, the USMNT has lost the last chance to thoroughly entertain its fans at a major tournament. Even the senior team does not have a great chance to showcase their grit, as only a couple of friendly games await Christian Pulisic and Co. this year. Besides, the USMNT’s senior and youth squad’s poor showing in the Copa and the Olympics cast a shadow on the USMNT’s 2026 World Cup prospects. The upcoming World Cup again is a US-hosted tournament, in which they should avoid embarrassment at any cost.
