Most soccer players tend to slow down in their careers after they cross their mid 30s. Many retire from the national team to prolong their club career. But Cristiano Ronaldo is not showing signs of slowing down. The soccer superstar scored another brace to help Portugal beat Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 2024 Euros qualifiers. The brace from CR7 also means that he has another record to his name that will now even put Erling Haaland to shame.

Al Nassr forward now has scored 40 goals in the year 2023. He just surpassed Manchester City forward Erling Haaland on the list. Surely, this would motivate him enough to become the highest scorer in the UEFA Euros 2024 at this age. Portugal is also in solid form. They have scored 32 goals and conceded only 2 goals in the qualifying rounds. This makes them one of the big favorites for the major tournament.

Many soccer fans perceived the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United as the end of his international career. They also questioned his attitude after his premature departure from the UK. But it was Al Nassr who immediately saw the opportunity to sign him. They are now reaping the benefits from the signing of the confident star player.
